Bush Rose

Botanic Name : Eucalyptus macrocarpa

This unusual small tree is the largest flowered Eucalypt. Its spectacular flowers often measure 10cm (4″) across, appearing from late Winter to early Summer, composed of a thick mass of bright red stamens with gold tips emerging from large and unusual buds of silver- green, eventually producing attractive silver-grey to brown seed vessels among the highly unusual silver green leaves which are closely arranged along the straggling stems.

An outstanding ornamental shrub with its straggling open-branching shape which grows to 2.5m (8′) or sometimes larger. It has a long flowering period and produces lots of nectar to bring birds into the garden.
